That I had intended

A few of my personal gems
Which I have set apart
As rays from a warm heart.
I'll tell you what I'll do
Just because it's you.
From my very latest venture
In the field of rhyme
I have something which I'm sure
Will strike you as sublime.
A sonnet in the Italian style
Is sure to make a hit.
Army Shoes will make you smile;
It involves a little wit.
Go forth and read I admonish you;
I hope you enjoy them all the way thru
And when you get a chance to write
To receive your letter will be my delight.
In the meantime may I wish you
All the things you want to come true.
May your every hope and dream
Be part of your regime.
May your every fervent wish
Be to you a daily dish.
