A Tribute to the Sun

I saw the sun today
So near and yet so far away;
There it was and here was I
Looking up from earth to sky.

I only saw the sun
While the sun sees all.
I stand here as one
To the sun so infinitely small.

A source of energy, power and light;
A symbol of God's manifested might,
Everyday in every year
Everywhere so bright and clear.

Life it is and life it gives
To everything that lives,
Never tiring, never ceasing,
Joy and life ever increasing.
